Marseillie Borely offers turf Flat and National Hunt racing and also has an All-Weather surface for harness racing, with the track located in the sunny south of France.

Marseille Borely Tips:

The course hosts a number of quality meetings in the French horse racing calendar, including a few listed races and the Grand Prix de Marseille, run towards the end of the flat season.

Our tipsters will provide betting picks and predictions for all of Marseille Borely’s major meetings, and the myracing website will also have cards and comments from the Racing Post in the international horse racing section of the site.

Marseille Borely Major Races:

The Grand Prix de Marseille, run in November over a trip just shy of 1m 2f, is the track’s most famous race and Corrida, the legendary two-time winner of the Group 1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, features among the roll of honour.

With the race having just Listed status these days and being run after the Arc, rather than before like it was in time gone by, it doesn’t attract anything close to the quality of Corrida but it’s still a race worth watching and anyone who’s in the south of France in November, can check in to Marseille Borely’s big meeting for as little as just €5!

Marseille Borely Best Trainers & Jockeys:

Only a trio of trainers made it into double figures here in 2019 and coming out on top of the tree was Frederic Rossi with 18 winners from just 96 runners, 63 placing overall to give an impressive tally for the yard. Christophe Escuder had 15 from 107 to grab second in the bid for Marseille’s top trainer, whilst the Vermeulen yard didn’t run near as many horses as the two who finished ahead of them with just 66 taking to the track in total but managed 10 winners. All three yards are worthy of maximum respect with whatever they run around here.

The jockey’s championship was much closer with just two victories separating the top four riders. 11 wins from 74 runs gave Franck Blondel the bragging rights and he’s a jockey who knows where the winning line is at the track. Guillaume Millet was just a solitary win behind on 10, whilst Mlle Marie Waldhauser and Marvin Grandin got 9 a piece. A wide spread of jockeys claim success around here but siding with any of those four riders should be seen as an advantage.
