Golden Rose Stakes tips for Saturday’s Listed race. A field of eleven go to post for this Listed prize, contested over the six furlong sprint trip. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: With Magical Memory now sadly a non runner this looks an excellent opportunity for INTISAAB who drops into Listed class and who will appreciate the switch back to the all-weather surface. Available at double figure odds, he’s an excellent each way bet.

CASPIAN PRINCE – Classy horse at the five furlong distance for Tony Coyle who won a Group 2 at the Curragh back in July, though he was well held at Newbury when last seen. He’s drawn wide today and has a penalty for his Group 2 win, which leaves him highly vulnerable.

MAGICAL MEMORY (NON RUNNER) – At his peak this five year old is the smartest horse in this field, winner of a Group 3 at Newbury back in July. In fact, he’s a multiple group winner and shaped well on his latest start at Ascot. He should have no problem on the all weather and should prove tough to beat.

GIFTED MASTER – Won twice in August for Hugo Palmer including at Listed level, though his latest flop at Newmarket was highly disappointing. He needs to bounce back from that and considering he’s got the widest draw, that isn’t assured.

GRACIOUS JOHN – (NON RUNNER)

INTISAAB – Capable on his day at this level for David O’Meara, only narrowly denied in a Group 3 at Newcastle back in July. He wasn’t disgraced at Doncaster on his latest start and he should be happier returned to the all weather, so he should out-run his odds.

MAKING TROUBLE – Horse from Germany for the Moser yard who has some useful form in the book, including a Group 3 fifth at Baden-Baden in August. Much more is needed in a tougher race though and others are readily preferred.

MAZZINI – Has improved markedly for the headgear and this four year old is proving progressive on the all weather, last seen finishing second at Chelmsford in a Conditions race. A repeat of that performance gives him live each way claims from a good draw.

MYTHMAKER – Course and distance winner who was second in a Listed contest two starts ago, though that was a very weak contest for the grade. He was second in this race back in 2016 but this is a much more competitive renewal and he looks vulnerable.

OUT DO – Won the Wokingham Handicap at Royal Ascot but he’s failed to threaten in Listed company more often than not, well held at York three starts ago. This race will be run to suit but others bring far better form to the contest.

ROYAL BIRTH – Has a good record on the all weather for Stuart Williams, but more often than not he’s usually seen over the five furlong distance. This will be strongly run granted but he is sure to be outpaced early on and it’ll be hard to recover at a track such as this.

SPRING LOADED – Two wins from two course and distance start for this five year old who has a great record on the all weather, running well on the turf of late for connections. This is his first step up into Listed class though and he does need to improve to threaten. Each way contender but looks vulnerable in this grade.
