A field of six go to post for the fourth race of the day at Bath on Wednesday, see our betting tips and the full race preview below.

IN SUMMARY: Seniority should do better in time after being gelded and Fujaira Bridge has claims if settling better, but this can go to I’VEGOTTHEPOWER for Brian Meehan. He has been raised six pounds for a gutsy victory at Goodwood on his latest start, showing a brilliant attitude to fend off the challengers. He has form figures of 312 here at Bath so he handles the track well and he should take all the beating with Jim Crowley taking the ride. Pillar Of Society romped home at Windsor on his latest start and is another to consider for the placings.

1 SENIORITY – Son of Dubawi who won on debut for The Queen, keeping on strongly despite a slow start and showing lots of promise for the future. He was set a tough task at Sandown on his second start when aimed at a Group 3, understandably well beaten and he made his handicap debut on his latest start in another tough race. He should be all the better for that reappearance and a drop back to Class 3 company should also help him. Couple that with the fact he’s been gelded and he looks set for a big run for William Haggas.

2 I’VEGOTTHEPOWER – Runs well here at Bath with form figures of 312 and he gained his second career win when taking a Goodwood handicap on his latest start. He was pressed strongly for two furlongs where he was tough as nails to fend off the eventual second, winning by a head and as a result he’s up six pounds in the handicap. That obviously demands more but he remains with potential after only eight runs and Jim Crowley takes the ride. Conditions are to suit and he should take all the beating with his brilliant attitude standing him in good stead.

3 PILLAR OF SOCIETY – Got off the mark at the seventh attempt at Windsor on his latest start, making all by three and a half lengths unchallenged and he’ll like try the same tactics again with this small field. He has been raised seven pounds in the handicap though and does have much different conditions, so a follow up is far from assured. On balance, others make far more appeal and he’s best watched.

4 FUJAIRA BRIDGE – Won a maiden at Ripon three starts ago and he made a good enough handicap debut on his latest start when third at Yarmouth in June. He remains on the same mark and there is likely more to come from Roger Varain’s three year old, though he will need to learn to settle better. If doing so under Andrea Atzeni he’d have to be considered a big danger as his pedigree suggests he can do much better yet.

5 AAHLAN BIL ZAIN – Improved on his debut to win an all weather maiden at Newcastle in October but he has been soundly beaten on all three of his starts in 2017 for David Simcock. He was never better than midfield when seventh at Newmarket on his latest start, with that effort hinting a return to longer trips could suit. If they go off at a frantic pace he could have each way claims under Adam Kirby, but others have far more obvious claims.

6 PATTIE – Consistent sort for Mick Channon who deservedly got off the mark on her latest star at Pontefract, keeping on strongly to lead close home. She has a six pound penalty as a result but has similar conditions today and she could perhaps kick on from that effort under John Egan. Possible place contender but this is undoubtedly much tougher than that latest assignment.
