Tuesday’s 449/1 Trainer Treble

There is plenty of racing to look forward to throughout Tuesday, with four meetings in store! Kempton and Ripon host afternoon meetings before Newton Abbot and Hamilton take over for the twilight.

If you like to follow the statistics and trends, then this is the article for you! We’ve gone through the cards on Tuesday to find the in-form trainers, and those having fruitful campaigns at certain tracks. Look no further than Tuesday’s Trainer Treble!

Odds correct and best price as of 6pm on Monday evening.

2.45 Kempton – High Applause (9/1)

If you had backed all 34 of Mark Johnston’s runners at Kempton in 2020, you’d be in £31.95 profit to level stakes! He has several chances at the venue on Sunday but High Applause looks a very interesting contender in the opening division of the nursery.

He’s had just the three runs thus far, running with promise when stepped up to seven furlongs at Beverley last month. He was a shade too keen that day but wasn’t beaten far in a useful looking contest. He makes his handicap debut off an attractive looking mark on that form and he has plenty of untapped potential.

The booking of William Buick can only be a positive and there is plenty to like about his chances today.

3.00 Ripon – Dreamseller (7/2)

Tim Easterby is having a very successful campaign at Ripon in 2020. He has a 28% strike-rate from 43 runners at that equates to a profit of £22.12 to level stakes. He has a lot of runners at the venue on Tuesday, with Dreamseller looking like his best chance.

He’s won twice in 2020, latterly at Redcar when only needing a hand ride to hold his rivals in cosy fashion. A five-pound rise for that success looks far from harsh given the ease in which he went clear in the closing stages.

He handles softer going so won’t mind today’s conditions and a repeat of that recent success would make him difficult to beat.

7.30 Newton Abbot – Apache Creek (9/1)

Jonjo O’Neill has made a good start to the jump’s resumption, with a 20% strike-rate in the past two weeks. He has just the one runner at Newton Abbot on Tuesday, and that horse is Apache Creek.

He’s had just the four hurdling starts thus far, running with promise in novice and maiden races. He now goes handicapping and he should find life much easier in this field. This isn’t the strongest of contests and he wouldn’t need much improvement to be taking a big role under Jonjo O’Neill Jr.
