Tuesday’s 415/1 Trainer Treble!

Olly Murphy cheers home Skandiburg at Cheltenham

Although on the face of it, it’s a quiet day of action on Tuesday, there is a French flavour to the action. Longchamp hosts a card with three group races, including the Group 2 Prix de Malleret and Prix Maurice de Nieuil.

On this side of the Channel, we have four meetings to look forward to, including Bath, Southwell, Ripon and Ayr. We’ve got horse racing tips for all the action that can be found on site, but we’re going to be focusing on the training ranks here. See below for Tuesday’s trainer treble!

Prices correct as of 5:30pm on Monday.

12.00pm Bath – Autumn Trail (13/2)

It’s paid to follow the recent great form of Rae Guest, who has sent out four winners from his last nine runners, including at prices of 8/1, 11/1, 3/1 and 6/5. His best chance on Tuesday looks to be Autumn Trail, a three-year-old filly who has run just six times in her career thus far.

She was a maiden winner at Chelmsford back in February and was having her first run for 126 days when having a nightmare passage at Lingfield last month. She never really had enough room to operate and hit the line strongly, looking full of running. She’s able to race off the same rating and she’s still full of potential. Woman of the hour Hollie Doyle takes over the ride and this filly looks to have superb claims of providing her in-form trainer another winner.

4.25pm Ripon – Broughtons Peace (12/1)

There is no trainer in better form than Phil McBride, with the Newmarket training sending out seven horses in the past two weeks, with four returning to the winner’s enclosure. In fact, his last four horses have all landed the spoils at odds of 100/30, 2/1, 3/1 and 12/1.

He has just one runner on Tuesday, with that being the newcomer Broughtons Peace at Ripon. Costing 3,000gns as a yearling, she’s got plenty of speed in her pedigree, a half-sister to five-furlong Listed winner Senor Mirasol. She makes her debut in a race where the standard to aim at certainly isn’t insurmountable. Callum Shepherd is riding out of his skin at present with a 30% strike-rate from his last 37 rides and this combination looks perfect.

4.30pm Southwell – Hurricane Hero (3/1)

Olly Murphy has sent four horses to Southwell this calendar year and every runner has returned to the winner’s enclosure. If you backed all his runners, you’d be at a £11.83 profit to a £1 level stake! He has two horses running at the venue on Tuesday, with his best chance looking to be Hurricane Hero.

He’s shown more than enough to suggest he can be winning a handicap in due course, posting his best effort in handicaps thus far when third at Warwick when last seen in March. He races off the same rating on return and today’s better ground looks sure to help matters. This isn’t a strong contest on paper with a severe lack of winning form, which gives him excellent claims of breaking his duck.
