Trainer with 100% 2021 Wolverhampton record sends two there on Sunday

Wolverhampton Sprint

He may not be a household name to everyone but Mike Murphy is proving a man to follow at Wolverhampton. Murphy has sent two runners to the track in 2021 with both of them winning. Add those to his 2020 form at the track and he boasts a £40 level stakes profit from just fourteen runners in the last thirteen months.

That suggests that he is not the most regular visitor to the track but he is striking while the iron is hot. Two runners on the Sunday card and one of those is part of our free horse racing tips which also contain tips from Catterick and Naas. They combine to make up a 25/1 double as Murphy looks to continue his 100% record at the course in 2021.

1.10 Wolverhampton – Bombardier “March To Your Drum” Handicap

Although Velvet Vista only boasts a career record of 1/19, that came on her most recent start. It was a clear career-best run from her, winning over this trip at Chelmsford. That was also the first time that Rossa Ryan has had the ride on her. It’s no surprise then that Ryan retains the ride on Sunday given the size of the step forward that she took for having him in control.

3.40 Wolverhampton – Betway Casino Classified Stakes

A typically weak looking 0-50 Classified Stakes here. Owhatanight is one of the two winners for Murphy at this track so far this year, landing a selling handicap over this trip on the seventh of the month. That was under Daniel Muscutt who has ridden both of Murphy’s winners here so far in 2021 and he is on board once more on Sunday.

He didn’t settle for an inexperienced apprentice when turned over since, the return of firmer handling looks a plus. He has only had six starts in his life so there is a strong chance that he has a little more to offer.
