Trainer who’s 5/8 so far in 2021 at Brighton sends one runner there on Sunday

A ten furlong Seller from Brighton on the 7/8/19

A trip to the south coast has been a happy route trodden down from Newmarket by George Boughey so far in his young training career. Eight runners at Brighton to this point in 2021 have yielded five winners, two seconds and a third. He sends just a single runner to the Brighton meeting on Sunday afternoon which has to afford his runner plenty of respect given just the course record alone.

The ITV racing cameras will be covering the entire seven-race card at Sandown as part of the Sky Bet Sunday series. There is also racing at Worcester and Naas to round out our free horse racing tips for the day. It’s Brighton that we are concentrating on here, however, digging deeper into the 3.20 where Boughey’s sole runner can be found.

3.20 Brighton – Sussex Seasons Limited Handicap

A small field here but a competitive race where Media Blitz is the representative for George Boughey. She has had three runs for a mark, a smart one on her second outing sandwiched by a pair of much lesser runs. Too keen last time out, that cost her all chance so it is not a surprise to see connections add a hood for the first time for this assignment.

Her dam was unraced but she is from a super family. A half-sister to the likes of Eclipse winner Refuse To Bend and Melbourne Cup winner Media Puzzle, it’s a strong line. This filly would look to be more about speed for now, especially until she learns to settle but there should be plenty more to come from her in time from this mark of just 70.
