‘She is my best bet of the weekend’ – Adrian Wall with a strong Leopardstown tip 💪

Irish trainerGordon Elliott

The Dublin Racing Festival is nearly upon us and as always we will be treated to two days of top class action. The field sizes might not be as large as usual years which is an issue that the powers at be will have to sort out. The officials at Leopardstown Racecourse haven’t watered the track sufficiently to make sure we have safe soft ground.

This has resulted in many big names counting themselves out in the run up to the Cheltenham Festival. Nonetheless, we have unbelievable prize-money on offer and top class horses to look forward to. There is one horse that sticks out like a sore thumb to me and she is my best bet of the weekend.

Make sure you check out our 40-1 Willie Mullins accumulator that the bookies fear article.

Irish Arkle Novice Chase

My bet of the weekend is the Gordon Elliott-trained Riviere D’Etel and she will line up on Saturday at 2.10pm. She should be clear favourite for the race in my opinion. Ferny Hollow is now out for the season but he was a very hot favourite for the Arkle at Cheltenham next month. She made him work extremely hard and despite receiving 13lb from him on the day, he is a top class horse.

I am convinced that Ferny Hollow would beat Blue Lord by half the track so I think the Willie Mullins horse could be a false favourite. He has won both starts over fences well but he beat trees and this is the first time that he will face a proper rival over a fence. My selection has no such worries after facing Ferny Hollow over the Christmas period. He had to be at his absolute best to beat her and she will receive lumps of weight from Blue Lord and co. She should win.
