Saturday ITV Outsiders: Adrian thinks Ryan Moore will ride a winner at a big price 🤞

The Curragh 2018

We have a fantastic day of Flat action to look forward to live on ITV Racing on Saturday at both Newbury Racecourse and Musselburgh Racecourse. Adrian Wall has picked out his outsiders to follow for the afternoon’s action.

2.04 Musselburgh

Michael Dods’ stable is in decent nick at present and that bodes well for the chances of Northern Express (12-1). The four-year-old has a patchy profile and is very much a hit-or-miss type character but he has a big chance in this if he is on song. He won twice on a decent surface last summer and had excuses when down the field over course and distance last October as the ground was bottomless. He will be seen to better effect here.

2.25 Newbury

David Probert has just been crowned all-weather champion jockey for the season but he is just as effective on turf and is a terrific rider. He takes the ride on the Martyn Meade-trained Adelaise (33-1) who looks overpriced at first glance. Yes, she does need to take a massive leap forward but there was a lot to like about her Kempton win over 7f in March. Held out in rear, she was carried wide around the bend and flew home down the outside like a very good horse.

3.35 Newbury

Ryan Moore is an eye-catching booking aboard the top weight Migration (10-1) in this very competitive handicap. The six-year-old has spent 206 days off the track but ran very well first time out last season when fourth to Johan at Salisbury, a horse that went on the win the Lincoln this year. The selection won at Goodwood and York last summer, the latter off a rating of 103 and although he disappointed in Listed company at Goodwood when last seen, he was sent off favourite for it. Big player here.
