Royal Ascot Day 5 Guide: races, best tips, price boosts & a jockey to follow

It has been four fascinating days of horse racing, but Royal Ascot has saved the best to last with some top quality racing.

Three Group ones, two Group 2s, two super competitive handicaps, and a long distance conditions race stacked full of quality jumps horses to finish off a slightly strange, but nonetheless thrilling, week of competition.

Royal Ascot Day 5 – The Races

Eight races through the day are crowned by not one but three Group one events:

12.40pm – Silver Wokingham Handicap
1.15pm – Queen Mary Stakes (Group 2)
1.50pm – Coventry Stakes (Group 2)
2.25pm – Coronation Stakes (Group 1)
3.00pm – St James’s Palace Stakes (Group 1)
3.35pm – Diamond Jubilee Stakes (Group 1)
4.10pm – Wokingham Stakes (Heritage Handicap)
4.40pm – Queen Alexandra Stakes

How To Watch Royal Ascot

The first race is being shown live on Sky Sports Racing only, with ITV coverage starting at 12.50 and covering all seven seven races from 1.15pm to 4.40pm.

If you aren’t near a TV, or don’t have Sky Sports Racing, you can always stream the coverage online.
