Nap of the day: Adrian Wall fancies 9-2 shot as his best bet at Wolverhampton 🚀

The myracing.com Nap of the day has been in terrific form in May. We have tipped up seven winners from 16 so far, but some of them have been fantastic prices. They include 8-1, 4-1 and 7-2 winners already this month, so we don’t just tip favourites, that is for sure.

Adrian Wall has picked out his Nap of the day for racing on Tuesday and it will run at Wolverhampton Racecourse. He is taking on an odds-on shot which might be pretty brave, but he does put across a strong case for his selection.

3.20 Wolverhampton

Just the five runners are set to go to post for this Class 3 handicap for horses rated 0-95 and it is an intriguing affair. Yonafis of the Haggas stable is unbeaten in two starts, and the son of Golden Horn could be anything yet. However, odds-on in this affair looks rather short for what he has achieved to date.

The horse that is of serious interest is the Simon & Ed Crisford-trained ASWAN, who will be ridden by bang in form James Doyle. The son of Caravaggio has the standout form in the book. He was beaten a nostril by Prosperous Voyage in an Epsom maiden last summer and that horse has gone on to finish second in two Group 1s, including in the 1000 Guineas.

If that wasn’t enough, he had to give that filly 5lb on the day so that is a really strong piece of form. He won a Goodwood nursery in July off an opening mark of 84, and although he disappointed at York, the first-time hood could work the oracle here. He won on debut so fitness shouldn’t be a concern after an absence, and he could take some beating here.
