ITV horses for courses: Three course specialists form huge 161-1 accumulator on Saturday 🏇

Beverley Racecourse

There’s plenty of live action on terrestrial television this Saturday. ITV are showing eight races from Haydock, Beverley and Chester. Liam Bramall has picked out a course specialist with proven track records from each of the three meetings. When combined in an accumulator they create a massive 161-1 multiple. 2.40 Beverley

Ugo Gregory (4-1, William Hill) has run six times at the Yorkshire track and has been victorious on three occasions. This 50 per cent strike-rate is more than useful especially when combined with the fact that he is seemingly well handicapped. He won over course and distance back in September off the same mark he races off here. Subsequent to that course and distance victory, this gelding went on to win at York next time off a mark of 80. Last time out he gave a much better account of himself so the significant 4lb drop should put him in the mix here.

2.55 Haydock

Lady Hayes (13-2, Paddy Power) seems to love it at Haydock. In her two starts there she’s yet to be out of the first two. This includes a second to subsequent triple German Group 1 winner Alpinista in the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks back in July. She was a decent second on seasonal debut and if she can build on that she must have a massive chance of winning this.

3.45 Chester

Fools Rush In (10-3, William Hill) has won twice and placed twice in five starts on the Roodee. Having won over course and distance in August off a 2lb lower mark, one could expect a big run here. It was a good effort over course and distance on seasonal reappearance when only beaten a length in fourth. If he’s any sharper for that run he has to go close off the same mark.
