‘It has worked out extremely well’ – Four longshot tips for Thursday’s racing 🐎

The field sizes at Wincanton and Chelmsford on Thursday aren’t too shabby at all. With this in mind, there are several opportunities for some each way action. Liam Bramall has selected four horses whose chances are better than their substantial prices suggest. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

12.25 Wincanton

Harlem Soul (25-1, William Hill) is capable of much better than what we’ve seen from him lately. He won a Wincanton novice back in March which has worked out extremely well as the second, third, fourth and fifth have all won at least once subsequently. It has been a struggle for him since leaving the Tizzard yard but he makes his chase debut here which could spark a revival.

2.55 Wincanton

Amelia’s Dance (20-1, William Hill) has put in two very reasonable third-place efforts so far this season. The form of her latest run has been boosted by the second who went on to win comfortably at Taunton last week. Her last win came off a mark of 108 and her current rating is just 1lb higher than that. She has shown better form in better races this season which suggests improvement.

6.00 Chelmsford

Dayman (16-1, William Hill) seems to have come off the boil in his last couple of runs. That being said, he’s definitely capable of much more. He last won at Kempton over this trip back in June off a mark of 79. Currently rated just 1lb higher than that and he should go well. Having been gelded since his last run, hopefully his mind will now fully be on the job at hand.

7.30 Chelmsford

Hello Me (14-1, William Hill) is a frustrating filly as she always seems capable of showing more than she often delivers. She has a solid record on the all-weather with four wins and two seconds in nine starts. Weakened in the final furlong here over 6f last time out and perhaps dropping down to 5f for the first time will suit her well.
