Irish raiders at Perth: runner-by-runner guide for all 10 runners

There will be 10 Irish-trained runners at Perth on Wednesday and they generally win at least a couple of races at the Scottish track once they cross the Irish Sea. Adrian Wall has written a runner-by-runner guide into each of their chances below.

1.52 Perth

Island Mahee bolted up in a series handicap final at Musselburgh in March and was narrowly beaten here over 2m in July. Big player back up in trip.

Ailie Rose was not knocked about in both of her starts to date. She finished second at Limerick on debut and disappointed over course and distance in July. Don’t write her off with top jockey booked.

Drumderry Ask has not been seen since finishing second in a point in March 2020. Patrick Neville had a winner at this track this month but he is an unlikely winner here.

She Is A Contender is a former point winner who disappointed in a Downpatrick bumper but ran much better over hurdles at Down Royal over 2m. Could take another step forward here.

Loveybond was beaten out of sight in a bumper at Down Royal in June and would be a shock winner here.

3.00 Perth

Falak stepped up on an encouraging run on the flat at Galway to finish second at Kilbeggan over hurdles this month. Big step up in trip here but he is a dual winner over 2m on the flat so it could bring the best out of him.

3.35 Perth

Go Another One is a high-quality performer over fences and hurdles, and a reproduction of his recent Cork win over hurdles over larger obstacles would make him very hard to beat.

Roi De Dubai won a handicap chase at Cartmel by 18 lengths when last seen but had the run of the race and this is a much different track. He also has a 12lb rise in the weights to deal with.

4.10 Perth

Dalileo looked outpaced early but came back on the bit and won in style over course and distance off 104 this month. Could still be well treated from 5lb higher.

No Logic ran a pair of eye-catching races at Downpatrick and Kilbeggan before being sent off favourite at Galway when last seen. He disappointed but the race possibly came too soon. Worth another chance.
