Irish Oaks verdict: ‘I think 6-1 on this O’Brien horse is massive with Emily Upjohn out’ 💪

Aidan O’Brien with his third lot

The big race of the day on Saturday is without the Juddmonte Irish Oaks at the Curragh. Thankfully, British viewers won’t miss out on the race as it will be broadcast live on ITV Racing. Make sure you check out our free ITV Racing tips for the day where our team of experts preview and tip every terrestrial race of the day on Saturday.

Moving on to the big race in question, Adrian Wall certainly isn’t afraid to take a big favourite on and he likes the look of a 16-1 horse trained by Aidan O’Brien each-way. Best of luck if you follow and remember, always bet responsibly.

3.45 Curragh

Please note: Emily Upjohn has been taken out of the Irish Oaks due to transport issues. We had advised Emily Dickinson at 16/1 so there will be a large Rule 4 on that price for anyone who took it.

That run from Tuesday has me pondering as to how strong that Oaks really was. There’s no doubt that it is the strongest piece of form in the book but can you rely on French form? The horse that I am going to take her on with is Aidan O’Brien’s very own Emily Dickinson, who I am certain we haven’t seen the best of yet.

This daughter of Dubawi won a Naas maiden in April and was well backed when disappointing in the Oaks Trial at Lingfield. However, she bounced right back to form when going all the way to the line with Pretty Polly third Rosscarbery in the Stanerra here just over a week ago and could come on bundles for that again.
