Hottest trainer on the planet sends €2million purchase to the Curragh on Sunday 🔥

We are set for another brilliant day of ITV Racing action on Sunday, which is starting to become the norm these days. A seven race card from York will be fully covered, while the feature 1000 Guineas at the Curragh is the big race of the day.

At the time of writing this article on Saturday morning, it has to be said that William Haggas is in blinding form. In the past 14 days, he has sent out 18 winners from 34 runners which is a 53 per cent strike rate. That is crazy numbers on the Flat.

Haggas has five runners in total on Sunday across Britain and Ireland, all of which will be highlighted below. However, the most interesting of those is a €2million purchase taking her chance in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh.

3.45 Curragh

Purplepay is having her first start for the Haggas stable here and she is a hugely exciting prospect. She won four times in France last year, but her form exploded impressively when she encountered soft ground. Landing the Criterium Arqana at Longchamp in October, she then finished third in the Group 1 Criterium International at Saint Cloud.

It has to be said that Purplepay was a very unlucky loser on the day if you watch the replay back. She was in touch early but got shuffled back to rear just as they were turning for home. Coming from what looked like an impossible position, she was hampered at the 2f pole and was forced to switch before staying on powerfully to the line, beaten just over a length.

Back against her own sex now, she has to be feared the her price looks way too big.
