There is a competitive meeting up at Ayr on Sunday which means it may be tricky to find some winners. One angle you can take which can often be successful is to look at horses with excellent track records. We have you covered with this and have picked out three runners with proven course form to consider for a multiple. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Tanasoq (10-1, bet365) will definitely enjoy the return to turf having disappointed at Newcastle last time out. The veteran’s record here speaks for itself as he has finished in the first three in five of his eight starts at the track. This includes a narrow second over course and distance two starts ago. Statistically speaking, he should run a big race.
Glasses Up (13-2, William Hill) is a regular here at Ayr with a massive 22 career starts under his belt. With six wins and a further six places to his name, 85 per cent of his career victories have come at Ayr. His current mark of 78 is tempting as he last won off a 3lb higher mark, making the gelding look very well handicapped. Finishing second last time out in a better race than this signals a return to form.
Tilsitt (15-2, William Hill) has won or placed in eight of his nine starts here including a course and distance win two runs ago. Off just a 2lb higher mark, the gelding has to have a big chance. It’s difficult to rule out a big run as all the signs point to him being there or thereabouts at the finish.
Royal Countess (6-1, bet365) was a close second over course and distance two starts ago. She comfortably won over course and distance last July off this very mark. This suggests the mare is capable of winning this race under these conditions and her record of three wins and three places in 13 starts here will provide confidence that she may well do just that.
