Primrose Ridge (16/1) looks too big a price to ignore with Frankie Dettori booked for the ride. Connections wouldn’t book him if they weren’t confident and by the same token, Frankie wouldn’t take the ride if he didn’t feel it has a solid chance. Her seven length win at Beverley can be marked up last time, as she was drawn widest of all. There should be more to come.

Arion (16/1) was an impressive winner over this distance at Chelmsford on what was just her second career start, and this well bred daughter of Dubai’s reappearance run can be forgiven. For a start she was going to need it, but it was also over 1m2f which was a 3f step up in trip, and she didn’t get home. Back down to 7f, she is a live contender.

The Flying Ginger (16/1) is far too big a price to ignore as she won over this course and distance last August off 86. She disappointed over the same track and trip when last seen in October but she was after a long hard campaign. Coming back fresh from just 3lb higher than her last winning mark, she must be respected.
