The racing continues to flow on Thursday with Glorious Goodwood, Galway and Racing League action. Charlie Sharp provided two winners and a third from his Day 1 tips and tries his luck with a juicy-looking treble on Day 3. We’ve included a betslip above and Charlie has assessed the chances of his three strongest fancies below. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
The Strikin Viking (11/8, William Hill) will have his first run for Wathnan Racing at Goodwood on Thursday and the form of his races have worked out well. On debut, he beat Tiger Mask who subsequently finished 4th in the Vintage Stakes after being well gambled on Tuesday. He was just half-a-length off winning a Group 2 at Curragh in June and the quicker conditions should suit here, with his dam’s sire putting his best performances on fast ground.
Jan Brueghel (1/1, William Hill) looks to remain unbeaten in his career with two wins from two starts. Both of those performances were at Curragh over 1m2f and he’ll appreciate the step up in trip today. He won by eight lengths on debut on good ground and won by just under a length on his second start on soft ground. Being by Galileo, he should have no problem with the fast ground conditions and I expect him to progress once again.
El Burhan (4/1, Paddy Power) has been very impressive in his debut season. He finished fourth on debut behind Ancient Truth and Principality. Ancient Truth is currently three from three in his career and you’d expect him to be competing in the Classics next year. George Boughey’s colt has since stepped up to 7f and has won twice over the trip on Good to Soft and Good ground. The progression he showed on quicker ground was phenomenal, destroying the field by over six lengths and the rattling conditions should be right up his street.
