33-1 & 18-1 ITV Outsiders: Adrian Wall bids to follow up 28-1 winner Emaraaty Ana

Doncaster Racecourse

Welcome to this week’s ITV Outsiders piece and it was a glorious day for followers of the piece last weekend. We tipped up two horses, one was a non-runner at 20-1 and the other was a winner. Emaraaty Ana, advised at a massive 28-1 was backed into 11-1 and duly obliged for trainer Kevin Ryan in the Group 1 Betfair Sprint Cup.

Adrian Wall looks ahead to an action packed day of horse racing at Doncaster on Thursday. Make sure you check out our ITV Racing tips which will be live on the website from about 6pm. A lot of research goes into the tips and they have been a great success over the years. Let’s move on to two horses who I think are drastically overpriced on Thursday afternoon.

Leading the flat jockey’s championship, Oisin Murphy is riding on the crest of a wave at the moment. He notched up a four-timer on Tuesday and will ride rank outsider Banshee (advised at 33-1) here for trainer Brian O’Rourke. The trainer’s only winner in his short British career to date was this horse who won a nursery at Yarmouth two weeks ago over a mile. She needs to take another huge step forward to land this race but the straight mile on a sound surface will suit and Murphy is a top booking.

If it is a good day for Oisin Murphy, it will be a good day for us. Murphy will take the ride on the top weight Devilwala in this seven runner affair. The son of Kodiac is very hit or miss, but if he can reproduce his run where fourth in the Dewhurst last October, that form would be more than enough to win a handicap off a lowly mark of just 98. This will be just his second start for the Loughnane stable and with Murphy booked, a big run can be expected.
