142-1 course specialists each-way double for Sandown on ITV

Sandown Park Racecourse

The next in the Sky Bet Sunday series comes up from Sandown. ITV Racing will be showing all seven races live from a hugely competitive card with some big fields going to post. Digging deep into the card, we’ve found a 142/1 each-way double on the card with a pair who love their racing at Sandown. That best price is with bet365 at time of writing.

There are three other cards for our free horse racing tips to explore. Jump action at Worcester, with flat racing courtesy of Brighton and Naas complete the slate of racing on Sunday.

4.20 Sandown – Sky Bet Sunday Series Apprentice Handicap

A record of 3/6 at Sandown so far for Andaleep, though that doesn’t tell the whole story as he was first past the post in another race and was subsequently disqualified. He is an adaptable type, winning on fast turf as well as on a softer surface so connections won’t be worrying about the showers on Saturday.

He is four pounds above his last winning mark but he was placed from higher than this on Polytrack late in 2020. A big field and strong pace should help him as he likes to swoop late in the day and this might suit him well enough to at least see him in the frame.

6.45 Sandown – Sky Bet Sunday Series Mile Handicap

Two wins in three runs at Sandown for Lyndon B, his defeat coming in a Class 2 handicap so there is no disgrace in that. He bounced back to form last time out in a similar Class 4 over this course and distance. He has only been put up two pounds by the handicapper for that success which still leaves him six pounds below his prior winning mark here.

All three of his wins have come on good to firm ground but he didn’t run badly when second on heavy ground at Haydock two years back so the recent rain shouldn’t affect him too much. It’s a 338-mile round trip from the yard of John Flint to Sandown which is a fair journey for a small yard but it can be rewarded with his course specialist.
