Just the 4 runners go to post but it is a tight knit and high class renewal with just 3lbs seperating the four runners on official ratings!
IN SUMMARY: A case can be made for all of these. Master Dee should get to the front and his experience can stand him in good stead. Virgilio is 2/2 over fences so far and Frodon gets the four year olf weight allowence which will help but SHANTOU VILLAGE travels strongly and with the yard in decent nick, he can pick up another win on quick ground before being put away for a Spring campaign.
1 Master Dee – Comfortably the most experienced of these over fences with 7 runs already under his belt. He continued his improvement last week when digging deep to win an Ascot handicap but the level of form of his opponents makes him the outsider of the field.
2 Shantou Village – A very smart novice hurdler, sent off favourite for the Albert Bartlett at the Festival, he has made a sharp start to his chasing career. Unbeaten in a pair of chase starts so far, he has jumped well in the main and given his smooth travelling style and the likelihood of plenty more to come, looks the one to beat.
3 Virgiio – Progressed through the handicap ranks over hurdles before embarking on a chasing campaign. He is 2/2 so far although on a line through Brother Tedd he has a bit to find with Shatou Village. Realistically needs to improve again but that is far from impossible.
4 Frodon– Gets the weight allowences as a four year old which naturally makes him of interest. Has already surpassed his hurdles efforts over fences and he has looked an excellent jumper given his inexperience. The nagging concern is that this is considerably stronger and his runs over hurdles in deeper races were moderate.
myracing Forecast Prices: 7/4 Frodon, 2/1 Shantou Village, 3/1 Virgilio, 13/2 Master Dee
