Trainer/jockey team who are +£26.25 have 1 at Leopardstown on Sunday and he’s 22-1! 😲

Lingfield Racecourse, Lillington and Tom Scudamore

Having ridden at Sandown on Saturday afternoon, it’s interesting to see Aidan Coleman heading to Leopardstown on Sunday for a single ride. His sole mount is in one of the supporting races rather than the ITV action which is also a point of interest.

Coleman has teamed up with Henry de Bromhead on 19 occasions so far in his career, winning on five of them for a level stakes profit of +£26.25. The fact that he has headed across the Irish Sea to ride one for de Bromhead for the twentieth time could prove significant.

4.10 Leopardstown – Liffey Handicap Hurdle

Ballyadam is the ride in question, a horse who has not yet lived up to his initial promise. He ran Appreciate It to three and a quarter lengths at this meeting last year in the Chanelle Pharma Novice Hurdle, though he was unable to get anything like as close to that rival in the Supreme at the Cheltenham Festival.

A step up to two and a half miles was no help to him at Aintree before not taking to chasing this season. He absolutely tanked through the International Hurdle at Cheltenham in December, travelling all over that smart field. The response off the bridle was disappointing but he is fitted with a tongue strap now.

It was a small step back in the right direction, trying handicap company for the first time here. His opening mark in this sphere is 146 which would be fair enough on his run at this meeting last year. A bit does need to be taken on trust with him but the ability is there if he can put it all together.
