13/1 ITV Win Acca Landed Saturday!

13/1 Acca Winner!

After a luckless run in August which saw us miss out by one leg on NINE Accas, it was great to start September with a bang as we landed a 13/1 Acca from the action on ITV. How We Did It

LEG #1 – The opening leg came in one of the feature races of the day, the Beverley Bullet! The old boy TAKE COVER (3/1) was our selection and he had a tricky draw in stall 9, he saw to that by absolutely bounding out and taking the lead early on. From there he simply wasn’t for catching, he just kept finding more near the finish and battled on all the way to the line to run out a 1.25 length winner – Nice!

LEG #2 – The Frankel filly VERACIOUS (10/11) was next up at Sandown. This represented a step down in class after contesting two Group 1s previous to the race. She travelled into it nicely but she needed a bit of encouragement to go on and win it, thankfully an animated Ryan Moore was on top form and he stuck at her until she started to assert. In the end she did it pretty well, the ability is certainly there and she looks likely to improve even more with experience & over further – One leg to go!

LEG #3 – It was then left to DURETTO (10/11) over at Chester to land the Acca! He was also dropping in class – Back at Listed level after coming 3rd in a Group 2 last time. The previous course winner gained a good early position but coming into the straight he & his cool-headed rider David Probert certainly made us sweat a bit as they had a bit to do! He picked up really well down the outside though to win it by just a neck, although he was certainly value for more than the winning distance – 13/1 Win Acca smashed in!
