4.40pm Worcester Tips & Betting Preview 17/10/2017

4.40pm Worcester tips for Tuesday’s Class 3 race. A field of seven go to post for this stamina zapping test, with the trip of 2m 7f. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: Terry The Fish couldn’t arrive here in better form, completing a hat-trick at Uttoxeter in July and, after a break, he holds leading claims, despite a huge rise in the weights. Preference though is for SCOOP THE POT who won over course and distance two starts ago despite being hampered and he wasn’t beaten far at Fontwell 11 days ago. Barry Geraghty takes over now and, off the same mark, he should be very tough to beat here.

1 TERRY THE FISH – Arrives here on a four-timer, destroying a field at Uttoxeter back in July with consummate ease. He’s now a whopping 14lbs higher in a tougher grade, but he’s been given time to rest up and couldn’t be discounted from going close here.

2 SCOOP THE POT – Won two starts ago over course and distance despite being hampered and a 6lb rise didn’t stop him from subsequently going close at Fontwell. He’s on the same mark here and has obvious claims with conditions to suit.

3 SYKES – Wasn’t at all consistent over fences towards the end of last season and makes his return back over timber which looks a good move. He’s placed off comparable marks so he’s not handicapped out of things and he goes well fresh, so is a strong each way player.

4 HENLANN HARRI – Useful chaser who won the Gold Cup at Sandown in April (Grade 3) when making all and wasn’t far away in a Listed contest back in July. He returns to timber off 4lbs lower and he’ll be looking to dominate this field from the front. Can’t be ruled out, but this trip isn’t ideal.

5 MONT CHOISY – Course and distance winner who fell two starts ago when about to lay down a challenge, with a jumping error again ending his chance last time out. Plenty to prove off the same mark here and is best watched.

6 KALIFOURCHON – Has been frustrating to follow since winning at Market Rasen in July 2016, returning this season with a poor effort at Worcester over fences. Plenty to prove off this mark back over timber and is likely to fall short.

7 BENDOMINGO – Won two starts ago at Warwick by seven lengths before finishing midfield over 2m 4f here, not disgraced. He’s on the same mark today and can go well fresh, with this extra stamina test a likely help. A case can be made for each way placings.
