Saturday ITV Outsiders: Warren Greatrex runner looks too big at 66/1

Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds on Saturday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the weekend, and remember, always bet responsibly.

1.50 Sandown

Just One Surf (66/1) caused a bit of a surprise when bolting up in a Taunton maiden hurdle when last seen over the extended two miles, and there didn’t seem to be any fluke about it. He was prominent throughout and won going away for a finish. This is much tougher obviously but an opening mark of 111 is workable and cheekpieces go on for the first time. He might surprise and run a big race here.

3.00 Sandown

If Nube Negra (40/1) is ever going to be as fit as can be, then Saturday is the day as Dan Skelton tries to hunt down Willie Mullins on the last day of the jumps season to try and capture the trainers’ title. This horse was a classy chaser on his day but hasn’t been anywhere close to his best this season. Interestingly, first-time cheekpieces are applied and as we saw with Protektorat and Langer Dan, Skelton knows how to ready one.

3.35 Sandown

Bryony Frost is riding out of her skin at present and Flash Collonges (50/1) is quirky but is running off a nice mark if he can bounce back to form. An impressive winner of a 2m7f handicap chase in March last year, he was running a big race when a faller in the Scottish National. Now 4lb lower with blinkers and a tongue tie on together for the first time, he might get a soft lead out in front.
