2.40pm Fakenham Tips & Betting Preview 20/10/2017

2.40pm Fakenham tips for Friday’s Class 4 race. The second race of the day at Fakenham is a 2m 4f Handicap Hurdle. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: Potential should win out the day here as preference is for ONE FOR BILLY, who was improving nicely as a novice last season before running flat on Handicap debut. He was sent off favourite that day though and he remains with significant potential, far more than any of his rivals. He’ll be fine on seasonal debut and is the one to beat for the Skeltons, with the main danger being Danceintothelight, but he needs more off his current mark.

1 DANCEINTOTHELIGHT – Running consistently well since returning from a break, winning at Sedgefield before a close second at Kelso earlier this month. He’ll be suited to going back up in distance and will try to make all, but his current mark does look stiff enough now.

2 ONE FOR BILLY – Lightly raced five year old who won at Hexham on only his second hurdling run back in May before running flat on handicap debut at Uttoxeter. He’s been given a break and has far more potential than his competitors for top connections. Should prove tough to beat.

3 BONNET’S VINO – Won three starts ago over 2m 5f at this venue in a chaotic race, well held the last twice for Pam Sly. The yard is going well but far more is needed off this mark and she looks vulnerable.

4 FIXED RATE – One win from eight hurdling starts, returning this season with a respectable fifth at Fontwell, clearly in need of the run. A mark of 110 puts him back onto his last winning mark and with conditions to suit, he’s not going to be far away here.

5 KNIGHT’S PARADE – Hasn’t won over hurdles since March 2015 and although he’s gone close on occasion, he’s been mainly underwhelming this year. He was well held in fourth at Southwell on his latest start and off only a pound lower, he is vulnerable once again.

6 MAMOO – Medicare on the flat for Mike Murphy and he’s shown only a fair level of form in the context of this race, well held at Uttoxeter on his latest start. His stamina for this far is very much up for debate and he doesn’t look good enough on handicap debut.

7 OCCASIONALLY YOURS – Versatile sort for Alan Blackmore who turned in a very disappointing effort at Southwell on his latest start, four lengths behind Knight’s Parade. He’s on the same mark here and shouldn’t be good enough.
