2.10pm Fakenham Tips & Betting Preview 26/10/2016

The opening race on Fakenham’s card is a 2m Maiden Hurdle. Some interesting horses to battle in what looks to be an intriguing contest, see our betting tips and the full race preview below.

IN SUMMARY: Bach De Clermont is entitled to come on from a promising hurdle debut after a lay off and The Blue Bomber was promising in bumpers and can improve for a good hurdles debut. However the vote is handed to EAMON AN CNOIC, who was an encouraging 2nd behind Ozzie The Oscar when last seen and that form reads well in the context of this race. He is taken to improve on his hurdles debut to notch up his maiden victory.

1 BACH DE CLERMONT – Had good point form in Ireland and showed ability when running well for a long way at Uttoxeter latest (1m7f, Good) on hurdles debut. Is entitled to come on for the run and is an expensive £175,000 purchase related to some good types, so should definitely be in the shake up come the finish.

2 COUNTY ROAD – Showed decent promise in two Point-to-Point’s and his dam is a French Flat winner. However this may well be an inadequate test on debut and probably best watched.

3 EAMON AN CNOIC – Showed promise in Bumpers before finishing a very promising 2nd behind Ozzie The Oscar at Ludlow back in April (1m7f, Good to Soft). That form reads well as Ozzie The Oscar was only just beaten by West Approach a month later, who has posted some very solid efforts and is a half brother to Thistlecrack. He should improve for that Ludlow run and if returning fully wound up, should notch his first victory under rules with the help of Tom Scudamore.

4 SEVEN NATION ARMY – Won a listed bumper back in 2014 and has posted some decent efforts over hurdles since. Joins the Alexandra Dunn yard and makes his debut for her today after flopping over fences at Kilbeggan over 2m4f last month. Judged on his best hurdle form he cannot be underestimated, but probably best watched for today.

5 THE BLUE BOMBER – Showed some good promise in 4 different bumpers and was set quite a stiff task when 2nd on hurdles debut at Hereford, beaten by Rather Be (2m, Good). Is entitled to improve on that run and is respected, place claims atleast.

6 WINNING TICKET – Beginning to look rather one paced, which was evidenced by a long way 5th of 12 at Newton Abbot last month (2m, Good). Has joined the Nigel Twiston Davies’ yard which is interesting, but needs to improve markedly to feature today.

7 GRACEFUL LEGEND – Has shown little glimmers of ability in two hurdles runs, and was set a much to stiff task latest when 5th of 7, 59 lengths behind the winner in a listed Novices Hurdle at Doncaster in March (3m, Soft). This her sharpest test yet and not sure whether the drop back in trip will help.

8 MIDNIGHT BLISS – Signs of ability in points, but is bred for longer trips than this and probably wont have the turn of foot when it matters today.

myracing Forecast Prices: 2/1 Eamon An Cnoic, 5/2 Bach De Clermont, 7/2 The Blue Bomber, 4/1 Seven Nation Army, 8/1 Winning Ticket, 14/1 Graceful Legend, 33/1 County Road, 33/1 Midnight Bliss
