Between five furlongs and the extended seven furlongs at Beverley Racecourse, you simply have to be drawn fairly low to have a reasonable chance of winning. Up there with Chester, Beverley has a massive draw advantage for runners that are drawn low. This is because the track goes downhill and right from the stalls and if you don’t get the inside rail you are pushed wide. If you are wide, you will lose many lengths on the field and it really compromises your chance of success.
Adrian Wall has highlighted two horses running at Beverley on Tuesday who look too big a price. They combine to form a 116/1 double.
Enraged was far from disgraced when midfield at Redcar last time out and wasn’t without support on the day. That was her first run since November so she should come on a lot for it and she has run well on fast ground twice already. Coming out of stall three should ensure that she gets a nice early handy position and that gives her every chance of a place at the very least.
Piastrella has impressive form figures that read 114 around here and is already a dual course and distance winner even though she is very lightly raced. She was better than the bare result when eighth at Doncaster latest and the return to this track with an inside draw makes her a big player. It is a surprise to see her at double digit odds and that probably won’t last. Everything looks set for a huge run and she should be up with the pace throughout.
