3.00 Uttoxeter

The Midlands Grand National is the highlight of the weekend and although Mr Incredible also has an entry, it will be a surprise if he lines up after his Festival exertions this week. However, Mullins has another live contender in the shape of Captain Kangaroo. Despite having some woeful recent form figures, this horse is a massive player if he can get round. Getting round has been the problem of late as his jumping has been poor in recent starts to say the least.

We are willing to give him a strong chance here though! Captain Kangaroo won the Cork National really well, he will love the trip and conditions, and if he can stay on his feet, he is running off what seems to be a pretty favourable mark of 135. It is also Danny Mullins’ sole ride of the day so everything looks set for a big run. Everything hinges on his jumping and he does come with risks attached, but we are confident in his ability and are willing to give him one last chance.
