What’s on this week – French, German and US racing highlights

Paris Longchamp

A look ahead to what is coming up over the next few days in the world of racing.

Exciting debut winners Dawn Intello and Enzel take each other in a fascinating Prix Tourbillion, part of an 11-race card at Saint-Cloud as the high-class return to action in France continues.

French horses also go at Marseilles Pont-de-Vivaux and Moulins while there is German racing at Mannheim and US meetings at Fonner Park and Will Rogers Downs.

Another day, another cracking card in France. This time it is at Chantilly, where the potentially smart Alocasia tackles the Group 3 Prix Texanita, a race switched from Maisons-Laffitte.

Happy Valley stages a nine-race card in Hong Kong while the US action is at Tampa Bay Downs and Will Rogers Downs.

Longchamp hosts its second meeting of the week and it is another high-class card. Mkfancy was a Group 1 winner last year and bids to bounce back from his first-time-out defeat in March with a return to action in the Prix la Force.

French 1,000 Guineas hope Flighty Lady lines up for the Prix Vanteaux while the jumpers go at Angers and there is US action at Gulfstream Park.

The Listed Prix Bedel is the feature event at Lyon-Parilly in France while other notable action is at Munich in Germany plus Tampa Bay and Gulfstream Park in the USA.

The focus switches to jump racing, with the Grade 2 Prix Murat and Grade 3 Grande Course de Haies de Printemps run at Auteuil.

Dusseldorf stages the Listed Henkel-Stutenpreis, while there are decent cards at Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay in the USA.

The second day of the Auteuil meeting features three Grade 2, with the Prix Jean Stern frequently throwing up a good four-year-old chasing prospect or two.

Vichy stages a mixed card while the Group 3 Karin Baronin von Ullmann is run at Cologne in Germany and there is more US action at Gulfstream.
