Wednesday outsiders: 40-1, 14-1 and 10-1 tips from Kempton and Newcastle 🏇

Kempton Racecourse

The weather is causing havoc for our National Hunt racing this week but there’s plenty of all-weather action to ensure we don’t go without. There are two all-weather meetings on Wednesday, taking place at Kempton and Newcastle. We’ve selected three runners that may have been overlooked in the betting and could outrun their odds. Why not check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

2.55 Newcastle

Tommytwohoots (10-1, bet365) is still fairly lightly raced over 5f and was narrowly denied over this trip in a handicap at Catterick back in April. His last win came over 6f at Wolverhampton in November in handicap company and there’s no reason he can’t be competitive in this very low grade affair. Shaun Harris’ gelding has the ability to win more races and Mark Winn’s 3lb claim could prove useful here.

5.30 Kempton

Hey Ho Let’s Go (40-1, Paddy Power) has dropped right down to a mark of 45 and you can’t help but feel a return to form could be in the offing soon. This eight-year-old was last victorious off a mark of 63 at Newbury in June 2022 and should be in the mix on that evidence. Things didn’t go to plan over 6f last time out but the drop back in trip will suit and he’s capable of much better.

6.30 Kempton

Tommy The Gun (14-1, bet365) makes his debut for George Boughey in this very open-looking maiden. There are no standout contenders and this three-year-old can surprise a few by running a big race. He can recoup his 1,000 guineas price tag just by finishing second here and there’s some Group 1 form in his pedigree.
