Trainer with 75 per cent strike-rate at Chelmsford has one runner on Thursday 🔥

Gary Moore has made a fantastic start to the year at Chelmsford. The Sussex-based dual-purpose trainer has had just eight runners there since the turn of the year and six of them have won. This gives him a 75 per cent strike-rate which is very healthy indeed.

Clearly being very selective of his runners there, it could be significant that he sends just one runner there on Thursday. The horse in question is already a course winner and looks likely to have a cracking chance. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

6.15 Chelmsford

Anificas Beauty won here over 7f last time out, showing plenty of sharpness on her first start for 168 days. It was a smart performance as she made virtually all the running and had plenty left in the tank to win nicely. Having shown plenty of early speed last time, that run suggests she should be capable of coping with the drop back down to 6f. That victory was her first since scoring in a novice race here back in October 2021.

Winning two of her three starts here, she has established a reputation as a bit of a course specialist and that’s not a bad trait to have. One concern would be the 6lb rise in the weights she received for that win which is not insignificant. It would take a career-best to win off this mark but she is capable of finding further improvement as a four-year-old.

They’ll need to make plenty of use of her stamina and she could go from the front again. Both her course record and that of her trainer’s would indicate that a big run could be on the cards.
