Charles Hills is a top operator on the flat in Britain and he sends just one runner to Doncaster on Thursday. This could be significant because in terms of strike-rate, he is the top trainer at the course in 2021. Hills has sent out nine runners at the venue this year and four of those have returned to the winner’s circle. That is a very healthy 44 per cent return.

Moving on to the Charles Hills runner, let us take a look at the horse in more detail below.
Running in the British Stallion Studs EBF Carrie Red Fillies’ Nursery Class 2 Handicap, Allayaali is the runner in question. Sporting the famous blue and white silks of Shadwell Estate, top rider Jim Crowley will take the ride on the two-year-old daughter of Dark Angel.
She got her career off to the perfect start when scoring over this course and distance in June. The ground was good to firm on the day so she should handle tomorrow’s fast surface. The fourth in that race went on to win a maiden at Epsom and was since only beaten just over a length in a Group 3 at Goodwood.
Allayaali disappointed in Listed company at Sandown on her second start but she still has very low mileage on the clock. Dropping down in grade into handicap company for the first time and back on a course that she is familiar with, she is a major player.
