Trainer who’s +£57.08 in Worcester hurdles this season has 1 runner there on Sunday

Worcester Racecourse

The jump season is still in its infancy but Fergal O’Brien has made a flying start. Worcester hurdles especially have been kind to the yard. Ten runners in Worcester hurdles so far have yielding six winners, two seconds and two thirds for a level stakes profit of £57.08. That is a frankly ridiculous start to a campaign for a yard who enjoyed their best ever season last time around.

O’Brien has just a single runner on the Sunday card at Worcester, that coming in a hurdle. There are also cards at Hexham and Pontefract on a quiet Sunday for our horse racing tips as the racing world unwinds after a long five days of top quality flat racing action at Royal Ascot.

Yauthym is the mare in question, already a course and distance winner this season. She bolted up by six lengths here last time out, doing that with ease and very strong at the line. That sets a decent standard at this level, deservedly getting her head in front for the first time over obstacles having shown a consistent level of form prior.

Although it took her nineteen starts to get off the mark, she had placed at Listed level for this yard in early 2020. She is very adaptable with regards to ground conditions, with form on good ground all the way through to heavy. That looks a help with the forecast of rain in the area. With her confidence now high she should be set to get her second win an awful lot quicker than she did her first, looking set to quickly double up.
