Trainer who’s 3/3 in the last fortnight sends one runner to Dundalk on Friday 🔥

Dundalk Stadium

Irish trainer Mark Fahey has been in unbelievable form with his small number of runners in the last fortnight. Fahey has had three runners across both codes in that time and they have all been victorious. It could therefore be significant that he sends one runner to Dundalk on Friday, in the hope of maintaining his 100 per cent record. We’ll provide a detailed analysis of the horses chances below. 7.00 Dundalk

Chica Linda makes her all-weather debut here and she was a winner on the turf at Sligo over an extended 1m2f back in August. This is also her first attempt at 1m4f and if she takes after her sire, the new trip won’t be a problem.

Her victory at Sligo was the first of her career and the form received a boost as the second went on to score a few starts later. Making all the running that day, she always had the race under control. This daughter of Highland Reel ran a solid race when fourth at Clonmel next time but got stuck in the mud at Down Royal when last seen.

If she takes to the surface here, she’s entitled to be competitive off this mark, which is just 4lb higher than her last winning one. Paddy Harnett takes 5lb off and that should help her cause, as she bids to return to winning ways.

Mark Fahey is also unbeaten at Dundalk so far in 2024, with Old Peculier making it two-from-two earlier this week. That certainly bodes well for his filly’s chances here and the trainer will want to take full advantage of his red-hot form.
