Trainer who’s 7/12 with all-weather Listed runners fields one Wednesday 🔥🔥🔥

Embour wins at Kempton under Martin Dwyer

The feature race on Wednesday is the Listed Hyde Stakes at Kempton‘s evening meeting. William Haggas is always a trainer to note when running a three-year-old in a Listed contest, a remarkable 7/12 on the all-weather with that age group over the last five seasons. That has produced a level stakes profit of +£14.38.

Haggas is not one to tilt at windmills with his horses in general and it’s clear that there is plenty to like whenever he has one in this grade. There are also cards at Hereford, Wetherby and Dundalk on Wednesday for our horse racing tips with a trainer at the middle of those courses 100% at Wetherby so far this season.

Lady Rockstar is the filly in question, getting her head in front for the first time at Wolverhampton last time out. The bare level of that form is a bit short of what is required to win at Listed level but as already mentioned, Haggas is not a trainer who tends to pitch his horses in deeper than the level they are capable of running at.

She has only had six races in her life so there should be better to come. That first win will have done her confidence the power of good and she should be able to go on from there to better things. A half-sister to one who was placed multiple times at Group 1 level as well as one who has won at this Listed level, she is from a decent line.

The Haggas yard continue to tick over nicely at present, 4/13 in November so far with another five finishing second or third. She is an each way price which has to be tempting given her lightly-raced profile in a race where those ahead of her in the market are far more exposed.
