‘This could be a monster’ – mammoth 189-1 ITV mega acca on Saturday 😱

We’re all set for another enthralling Saturday of racing, live on ITV. There’s plenty of interesting angles across the day’s action. We’ve picked out five runners across both Sandown and Wincanton and combined them into a huge 189-1 accumulator. This could be an absolute monster bet and all five have live chances on a competitive day’s racing. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

1.15 Sandown

Gemirande (2-1, Boylesports) improved significantly from first to second run when winning in good style at Southwell last time out. Whacked 10lb by the handicapper for that victory but he’s still just a seven-year-old which offers hope for further improvement. There should be more to come and this race looks very winnable.

1.50 Sandown

Grey Diamond (11-4, William Hill) ran a cracker on seasonal debut when third behind the progressive Amarillo Sky and Fugitif who was an impressive winner at Chepstow over Christmas. As both of those horses won their next starts well, the omens look good for Sam Thomas’ Gelding. Should improve for the run and is likely to win if doing so.

2.05 Wincanton

Venetia Williams has a knack for finding improvement in older horses and appears to have done so with Desque De L’Isle (2-1, William Hill). In the form of his life recently and should make a bold bid on his hat-trick attempt. May need to find a little more but he’s in much better form than the rest of this field which gives him a massive chance.

2.25 Sandown

Tahmuras (5-2, William Hill) is by no means the finished article as he’s improving with every run. Showed a good turn of foot on both hurdles starts which were victories by eight and five-and-a-half lengths. The latter came in a Listed race and this is the next logical step on the ladder. Likely to continue progressing and if he can sharpen up his jumping, could prove hard to beat.

3.15 Wincanton

Chianti Classico (8-13, bet365) is unbeaten in two starts over hurdles so far. The form of the first of those wins has worked out very well as the second went on to win a Grade 2. Won again at Market Rasen last time out and the third has franked that form by scoring since also. On this evidence, he’s a smart prospect who could be much better than a 131-rated horse.
