Thursday ITV Outsiders at York: 40-1, 33-1 & 20-1 tips to sink your teeth into 🤓

It has been a good couple of weeks for the ITV Outsiders especially with a couple of juicy winners at 14-1 and 20-1 on Saturday. York‘s Ebor Festival provides plenty more opportunities with all four days live on ITV. Thursday marks Day 2 of the meeting and Liam Bramall has selected three runners who can outrun their massive odds. These include a 33-1 shot and a 40-1 shot which won over course and distance as recently as October. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

1.50 York

We Kick off with the Lowther Stakes for two-year-old fillies. Kevin Ryan’s Glenlaurel (33-1, bet365) is likely to be a much better horse than she showed at Ascot last time. Ryan loves a winner at the Ebor Festival and does well with his juveniles here. Glenlaurel beat no fewer than four subsequent winners when winning in impressive style at Thirsk on debut. Having learnt plenty from the experience last time out, we should see a better performance this time round.

2.25 York

Glorious Angel (20-1, William Hill) is one of the most experienced horses in the race. This will stand her in good stead in what could be a rough race. She’s in good form having won nicely at Nottingham last time out and escapes any penalties for it. Despite this not being the easiest of tasks, 20-1 looks like a big price and it would be no surprise to see her in the frame.

3.00 York

Shelir (40-1, William Hill) is sliding down the weights as a consequence of a couple of disappointing efforts so far this season. He won cosily off a mark of 96 over course and distance in October which reads well in the context of this race. A slight negative would be that he perhaps wants the rain to come but should be competitive off just 4lb higher than when last winning.
