The Willie & Gordon accumulator the bookies fear at Punchestown on Monday 😱

Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins

The rescheduled John Durkan meeting will take place at Punchestown Racecourse on Monday and it is a stellar card with some big jump names back in action.

Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott are likely to clean up at the track and here is the accumulator that the bookies are terrified of. They will need to get at least one of these beat if they want to have a decent day.

12.40 Punchestown

Invictus Machin looked like an exciting prospect when winning at Down Royal on debut but Elliott’s Itswhatunitesus has to be feared. The Navan bumper winner beat a good horse in Embassy Gardens at Cork last month and that’s serious form.

1.40 Punchestown

Harmonya Maker is a classy mare who won a bumper here by 12 lengths last December, and she was super impressive on her hurdling debut at Fairyhouse last month, winning by 18 lengths. That was her first run of the season so there is more to come.

2.10 Punchestown

Mullins has won the last four renewals of this race with Min (three times) and Allaho so it’s clear a good one usually wins it. Galopin Des Champs is a three time Grade 1 winner and would have won the Turners’ at Cheltenham but for a fall at the last in March. He will win here bar an accident.

2.40 Punchestown

Appreciate It is a three time Grade 1 winner over hurdles which includes a 24 length victory in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle in 2021. He wasn’t seen in a year due to issues but went straight for the Champion Hurdle where he disappointed. Given time to get back to full fitness, he could be a serious prospect over a fence this season.

3.40 Punchestown

Mel Monroe could be a tough nut to beat but Mullins’ Blizzard Of Oz heads the betting. This horse is having its first run for the yard after an eyecatching second, sandwiched between the talented Impulsive Dancer and Mercurey.
