2.05 Cartmel

Elliott has two runners confirmed for the opening 2m5f handicap chase, and Gavin Cromwell also has an interesting runner. Nonetheless, Arctic Ambition could hold all the aces. This gelding was in great form over fences in the spring and took advantage of a much lower hurdles rating on his last two outings. He looks sure to go close again back over fences which is his bread and butter.

2.40 Cartmel

Again, there is no shortage of Irish interest in the 2m1f handicap hurdle with four different trainers from the emerald isle coming over to take their chance. Elliott trains Banks Boy, who was sent off favourite for a handicap hurdle at Cork off the back of a 337 day break in May, finishing second. There should be more to come.

3.12 Uttoxeter

The 3m2f Summer Cup handicap chase is always a cracker of a race and The Abbey looks overpriced at first glance for the Elliott team. He won handicap chases around this trip at Down Royal and Limerick in May, and ran well again when third Roscommon in June. Has to be in the mix.
