3.00 Naas

The Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden is shaping up to be a very interesting affair today. It is a battle between the O’Brien family on paper. Joseph trains the current favourite Basil Martini, Aidan trains the second favourite Dower House but all the money has come for the Donnacha horse, Calling All Angels.

Backed from a high of 14-1 this morning all the way into 9-2 with most firms now as short as 4-1, it seems like a sizeable few bets have been placed on this horse. This Dark Angel filly will need to step up on her first two efforts but someone out there is expecting her to do so.

Calling All Angels was only a length behind Dower House when eighth at the Curragh on debut, and she ran well enough there without really threatening in July. Dropping back in trip is never usually a good sign so early in her career, but now going back to just shy of 6f, she is going to have to show plenty of speed to land a blow in this. Best of luck if you have a play.
