There is a plethora of talent available to Aidan O’Brien at his all-conquering Ballydoyle yard. This being the case, Ryan Moore doesn’t always chose the right horses when picking his rides. There are a couple of two-year-old races on the card at the Curragh on Friday night and Aidan O’Brien has two in each of them. Wayne Lordan takes the ride on St Kitts (10-1, Paddy Power) in the opening race of the card. No Nay Never is the colt’s sire and his stock is increasing in popularity after an excellent Royal Ascot with his juvenile progeny. There’s plenty to like about his dam too as she won a Ribblesdale Stakes and the Irish Oaks for O’Brien. This colt should be ready to go first time out.

5.35 Curragh

Dower House (7-1, Paddy Power) is a regally bred full sister to champion three-year-old Churchill and Middle Park winner Clemmie. It’s very difficult to ignore such an impeccable pedigree profile and big things can be expected of her. With the form of O’Brien’s other runner working out well you can see why Ryan Moore has passed on this ride but her breeding suggests he has made a mistake.
