1.45 Cheltenham

SAMBA DANCER failed to win when trained in Ireland but kicked off his British career with a second at Worcester in August and has won two subsequent starts, most recently at Stratford where he saw off Lincoln despite a mistake at the final flight/ He is rapidly progressing and can overcome a 6lb higher mark.

2.00 Newbury

NOBLE TRUTH did just enough to see off Hoo Ya Mal in a Listed race at Doncaster in September and took his form to a new high at Longchamp last time out, when beaten less than a length by Angel Bleu in a Group 1.

2.35 Newbury

SISKANY had to settle for second at Goodwood in July but he was gelded soon afterwards and produced a career-best at Newmarket last time out, giving weight and a clear beating to his 14 rivals. He wouldn’t need much more to overcome this step up in grade.

3.15 Doncaster

I fancy BAYSIDE BOY in the Group 1 Futurity. Roger Varian’s youngster showed that this course suits by winning the Champagne Stakes in September and arguably ran even better in the Dewhurst, staying on for third. There is nothing of the class of Native Trail in opposition here.

3.30 Cheltenham

BEFORE MIDNIGHT picked up minor honours in his first four starts for Sam Thomas but won a bumper when dropped to 2m at Kempton in February and produced a career-best back over fences last time out. He has more to offer now connections have found his optimum trip.

3.50 Doncaster

FLAMING RIB won just one of five starts for other jockeys but he is unbeaten under Pierre-Louis Jamin and was never headed when landing the hat-trick at Chester last month.  That form sets the standard in this Listed heat.

4.05 Cheltenham

PUSH THE TEMPO won a 2m7f handicap at Worcester last time out and can follow up. He did enough to beat Thunderstruck in a tight finish but has only gone up 2lb and remains unexposed at this trip.

4.20 Doncaster

This should be run to suit ILLUSIONIST. His form tailed off during the summer but her bounced back after a short break at York last time out. He was the only one to make significant ground from off the pace that day and a 5lb rise leaves him feasibly treated on the pick of last year’s form.
