Saturday’s Outsiders: 28-1, 25-1 & 18-1 selections for the ITV Racing 🏇

Silverhow ridden by Harry Cobden

It is a monster offering on ITV Racing this weekend, with eleven races live on Saturday and a further nine on Sunday! We have gone over the main races and picked out those at big prices who look too big in the market.

1.35 Leopardstown – Racing TV “12 Euros Per Month This Weekend Only” Spring Juvenile Hurdle

Noel Meade does well with his juvenile hurdlers so it wouldn’t be the biggest shock to see Ben Siegel (18-1) bang there. He was a deeply progressive type on the flat and that experience of being in a scrap in handicap company will stand him in good stead. He was a decent winner on his hurdles debut and that entitles him to be right in the mix for at least a place.

2.40 Musselburgh – bet365 Scottish County Handicap Hurdle

Pearl Of The West (25-1) has not been seen all that much in recent times but she used to be a real hardy battler. She was close to the front touching down over two out at Leopardstown over Christmas before fading on the run-in. This is not as deep as that, these conditions suit and her yard don’t send them over the Irish Sea for a day out.

2.55 Sandown – Virgin Bet Heroes Handicap Hurdle

A big field full of progressive handicappers but it could be the older legs of Flemcara (28-1) that give them all a run for their money. His two starts this season has seen him produce an RPR of 143 on each occasion. They are the top two of his life so even at the age of ten, there is still plenty of life in him. Tom Bellamy is riding with huge confidence at present and having finished third in this race in 2019, he can hit the frame again.
