Saturday ITV Outsiders: Liam Bramall’s 33-1, 25-1 & 16-1 weekend tips 🐎🐎

Saturday marks the fourth and final day of the Ebor Festival at York. Five races from York are joined by two from Sandown, live on ITV. The big race of the day is the £500,000 Sky Bet Ebor Handicap. There’s also plenty more competitive handicap action on offer. Competitive racing means extra value so Liam Bramall has selected three outsiders who can outrun their huge odds. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

2.25 York

Temporize (25-1, Paddy Power) only has three starts to his name so will have to overcome inexperience in the hustle and bustle of a 20-runner handicap. It’s unlikely to be an issue however as Charlie and Mark Johnston always have their horses well educated before they even hit the track. This gelding looks like a strong stayer over 1m4f so the extra two furlongs here are likely to suit.

3.35 York

Global Storm (33-1, bet365) was soundly beaten off 2lb lower in this race last year. However, on the evidence of his Group race form this season, he could be a better horse this year. He was a good third to Breeders Cup Turf-winner Yibir in a Newmarket Group 2 two starts ago. Goodwood was sharp enough for him when fourth there last time out. This more galloping track will suit and a big run could be on the cards.

4.10 York

Lampang (16-1, William Hill) bounced back to form when a staying-on third at Ascot over 5f last time out after a disappointing effort at Goodwood. The handicapper dropped him a pound for that latest effort which seems generous. Now rated just 3lb higher than when winning at Pontefract, beating Bergerac who won at York earlier in the week and should be in the mix at a decent price here.
