Saturday ITV Outsiders: ‘How on earth is Frankie Dettori’s mount 20-1 here?’ 🤔🤔

Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing Outsiders and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their huge double-digit odds on Saturday. We have 11 races to look forward to on terrestrial TV on Saturday, the pick of those being the Group 1 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes sprint at the Curragh. 2.45 Ascot

We have a Charlie & Mark Johnston theme going on for the ITV Outsiders this week and we can see Themaxwecan (40/1) outrunning those large odds. He is very hit or miss but he won a two mile Goodwood handicap last September off 96 and is now running off 4lb lower. The former course and distance winner is partnered by Jamie Spencer and a big run could be on the cards here.

3.20 Ascot

State Of Bliss (20/1) won at this meeting last year over this distance off a mark of 87, and is now just 2lb higher with Frankie Dettori booked for the ride. Dettori rode a big priced winner for the Johnston team at Goodwood last week and a bounce back to form is more likely than not here. How on earth is Frankie Dettori’s mount 20-1 here?

4.30 Ascot

Another of Frankie Dettori’s rides, Sheer Rocks (11/1), looks far too big a price to ignore. This horse came from a tough position when getting up late to win at Chester, not an easy thing to do around there. He ran another good race at Goodwood eight days ago in fourth and there should be more to come on this much stiffer track, which should unquestionably suit his running style.
