Saturday ITV Outsiders: Adrian thinks former Willie Mullins horse is a big price 🐎

Clan Des Obeaux winning the Denman Chase at Ascot

We are in for a treat on Saturday as Energumene will take on Shishkin in what could be a clash for the ages. Both already in the top 20 of the two-mile division of all time, the Clarence House Chase could determine which horse will land this year’s Champion Chase at Cheltenham in March.

However, they aren’t a working man’s price and as always, we try to find some juicy priced winners for our followers running on ITV Racing at the weekend. Below, you can find Adrian Wall’s value fancies.

1.45 Ascot

The former Willie Mullins-trained N’Golo ran an absolute screamer on first start for his new trainer Ann Duffield. Sent off a 50-1 chance for a 0-145 handicap at Haydock in December, he hit a low of 2.8 in running on the exchanges and only faded out of things in the closing stages of the race. He travelled powerfully through his race that day and should be sharper for the run now. I am surprised to see the 14-1 about him at the moment so it would be no shock to see some money come in for him.

2.00 Haydock

Donald McCain has already hit 100 winners for the season which is incredible. Operating at 23 per cent this term, he has a 55 per cent place strike-rate from a sample of 438 runners, quite staggering stats. Although only six go to post for this race, Navajo Pass seems to be overlooked in the market. He has to concede weight to the field and although it is a tough assignment, he beat Buveur D’Air in this race last year. This horse has to be respected for all he has to improve on recent efforts.
