Saturday evening tips: 55-1 horses for courses treble at Stratford

We have an action packed day of racing to look forward to on Saturday afternoon. The Curragh will play host to the Irish 2000 Guineas with more top races on show at the Irish track.

ITV Racing will also show some quality action from Goodwood, Haydock and York. Once that is over though, there is a nice jumps card at Stratford to look forward to and we have picked out a horses for courses multiple. At the time of posting, the treble is 55-1 with William Hill.

6.40 Stratford

There are five courses winners in this race but the only one of those that won here over this distance is Ballyellis. Nigel Twiston-Davies’ gelding finished fourth in a much better handicap than this at Haydock a couple of weeks ago. He has been dropped 3lb for that effort, Jamie Neild takes off a further 10lb and will have just 10 stone on his back. Big chance.

7.10 Stratford

The Skelton’s are a relentless partnership. They seem to get a winner everywhere they go and nothing should change here. Hatcher will take all the beating judged on his recent success at Ludlow. He may have only beaten one rival but it was a dominant display and he is still very well treated on the pick of his form.

8.10 Stratford

Brian Hughes is an eye-catching booking on Flying Verse for the Sheppard yard. The former track winner caught the eye on his return on stable debut when a staying on second in the Norfolk National at Fakenham 18 days ago. With the cobwebs well and truly blown away now, the Yeats gelding could be thrown in from a rating of 117.
