Despite riding two winners on Friday, defeats for Ten Sovereigns and Hermosa saw Ryan Moore end the day trailing Frankie Dettori by two winners in the race to be champion jockey at Royal Ascot. He has the better book of rides for the final day including the mount on our NAP of the day. He also boasts the tiebreaker at present with far more seconds on the week so the 7/2 with William Hill to be top jockey looks overpriced.
We have Royal Ascot Tips for all six races on a sunny Saturday afternoon to close out the best flat meeting of the season.
Impressive winner on debut at the Curragh a few weeks ago over seven furlongs. Holds some fancy future entries and looks another talking horse in the making from the powerful Aidan O’Brien yard.
Was a close third in the Dubai Duty Free Stakes at Newbury over this trip in May, but has since won well in a Group Three at Naas (6f). Only finished outside the top three twice from nine runs and hails from the Aidan O’Brien camp that won this race in 2012 and 2013.
Ran the classy Stradivarius to three-quarters of a length in the Yorkshire Cup last time out – form that received a huge boost earlier this week. Drops back to 1m4f here, but connections are sure to make full use of his proven stamina. Trainer Aidan O’Brien has won this race three times before.
Finished fifth in Tuesday’s Queen Anne Stakes over 1m, but dropping back to 6f this time. Also a course winner that has history at this meeting after winning the 2017 Jersey Stakes. Connections clearly feel he’s come out of his last outing well enough to run for the second time at the meeting.
Teams-up with the Jeremy Noseda yard that won this race in 2010. Down the field last time at Newmarket, but has been dropped five pounds for that run. Not without a chance, but only concern would be that all four career wins have been on the All-Weather and that he’s 0/10 on the turf.
Has won this race three times since 2010, including twice for today’s trainer Willie Mullins (2012 & 2014). This nine-year-old was third in the 2017 Melbourne Cup and ran seventh in the Ascot Gold Cup last season. Is also the top-rated in the field so looks the one all the others have to aim at.
